Company Background
Dress for Success Quad Cities is an affiliate of a worldwide nonprofit organization. The affiliate was founded by Regina Haddock of Davenport, Iowa and began operations in November of 2011. Our programs focus specifically on the needs of unemployed and underemployed women in the Quad Cities region, which encompasses Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
Dress for Success Quad Cities is best known for providing interview attire to women returning to or entering the workforce. Since our inception, the mission has expanded to include a variety of workforce and career development programs, including job-search support, career counseling, and professional development workshops.
We believe that a successful career journey — one that leads to personal and financial success — begins with proactively investing in ourselves.
Mission Statement
The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life.
Programs
HireHER
Through our HireHER programming, we offer a variety of career and professional development workshops that are designed to provide women with the skills and knowledge necessary to find a job, keep a job, and build a successful career. Our HireHER workshops are conducted virtually on a weekly basis.
StyleHER
Whether they’re actively job-searching or preparing for an upcoming interview, Dress for Success Quad Cities provides women with professional clothing and personalized styling so they can make a great first impression. Any woman who completes one of our HireHER workshops is eligible for an Interview Outfit Appointment. Once she has secured full-time employment, she is invited back to receive a capsule wardrobe so she can look and feel her best at her new job.
Career Coaching
One-on-one sessions with a Career Coach provide the support, personalized and positive assistance to help a woman discover her own success. These sessions can include career counseling, job search assistance, cover letter design and resume revisions, interview preparation, and much more.
Fill-A-Bag (FAB) Fridays
The average woman spends between $1,800 – $4,000 a year on clothing. One of the ways we empower women to achieve financial independence is by providing subsidized clothing to women throughout the Quad Cities through our Fill-A-Bag (FAB) Friday sales, which provide access to nearly-new and gently-loved high-end professional and casual clothing for a very low cost.
