When are donations accepted?
Donations are accepted Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at the door marked Donations, up the ramp on the front right-hand side of the building. Parking is available in front of the building along 32nd Street.
Why are donation hours limited?
We rely on volunteer support to help intake, sort, and process donations. Our staff focuses their time and attention on making sure the women we serve have the resources and support they need.
Why do you request donations be cleaned first?
Dress for Success Quad Cities operates a ready-to-wear boutique. We do not have the resources to clean or press donations. Although we are incredibly thankful for the support of community partners like Burke Cleaners, we cannot rely solely on their generosity to ensure our members receive interview-appropriate clothing.
What kind of clothing are you looking for?
We need women’s professional suits and separates that are not more than 5 years old and appropriate for a job interview. If you would not wear it to a job interview or to work today, we will not dress someone in it.
Do you pick up donations?
No, we do not.
Is there a program like Dress for Success for men?
Unfortunately, not in the Quad City area. However, to donate men’s clothing, we recommend contacting the following places:
